Burning logging slash and yard waste puts CO2 into the atmosphere, which contributes to global climate change. Burning also makes unsightly smoke that can cause life-threatening crises for those with breathing problems.
However, chipping slash not only keeps that carbon out of the air, it decomposes slowly through detritovores, tiny organism that actually take more carbon out of the air. When spread as mulch, wood chips suppress weeds while building soil.
Our equipment is powered by biodiesel, further reducing the atmospheric impact of CO2 while reducing particulate emissions and unburned hydrocarbons that cause breathing problems.
Two person crew: $60/hour. Permaculture design and other services available, too!
